NE Lions News
Hi Everyone,
Lion Ken Zimmer here, last Saturday we did bell ringing for the Salvation Army at the Rainbow Foods store in NE Mpls. While ringing the bells, a wonderful lady came by and thanked us for the cornea that her husband received. Her smile, appreciation, and warmth were great motivators for us to ring the bells just a bit harder.
Even though we had a relatively warm day to be outside, she warmed us from the inside out too.
The efforts put forward affect people we usually never get a chance to meet, but they are out there and really do gain a better quality of life from our help. They might be your neighbors or a stranger you pass, but the gift of sight affects more than just the recipient, it also affects their family and loved ones too. Kind of a snowball effect, and this snowball does keep getting bigger.
Happy Holidays,
Lion Ken
